How do I edit a map?

Editing a map can be a powerful skill set so that you can quickly replace any text, photos, videos, or audio. 

Disclaimer: Our team works hard to keep MapHabit updated, so what you see in our videos may look a little different from your tablet. Don’t worry—all the steps shown are still correct!

Replacing Text 

  1. Tap on the Maps tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap on Edit Map on the desired map
  3. Select the step you would like to edit your text
  4. Tap on the step description box and add or delete any text 
  5. Tap on Save and Close

Replacing a Photo or Video 

  1. Tap on the Maps tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap on Edit Map on the desired map
  3. Select the step you would like to replace a photo/video
  4. Tap on the photo/video
  5. Select Replace Image or Replace Video 
  6. Select from Camera, MapHabit Album, or Device Gallery
  7. Upload the desired photo or video
  8. Tap on Save to confirm changes

Replacing Audio 

  1. Tap on the Maps tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap on Edit Map on the desired map
  3. Select the step you would like to replace your audio
  4. On the bottom of the screen, tap on on the audio file to remove it 
  5. Confirm your decision to remove the audio
  6. Record or upload new audio
  7. Tap on Save and Close

Reordering Map Steps 

Learning how to reorder map steps can save you time without having to delete or create new map steps.

  1. Tap on the Maps tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap on Edit Map on the desired map
  3. Tap on Re-order Steps 
  4. Tap and hold to slide the step in the desired order
  5. Tap on Done
  6. Tap on Save and Close

Deleting Steps From a Map

  1. Tap on the Maps tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap on Edit Map on the desired map
  3. On the map step you wish to delete, tap on Delete Step
  4. Tap on Save and Close
