MapHabit users may update their passcode at any time through the Settings app on the iPad
-
Open the Settings app on your iPad.
-
Locate and tap Touch ID & Passcode.
-
Tap on "Change Passcode."
-
To see different options for creating a passcode, tap on "Passcode Options." For maximum security, choose either "Custom Alphanumeric Code" or "Custom Numeric Code."
-
Once you've set your new passcode, on supported models, you can use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock your iPad (depending on your model). However, for added security, you'll always need to enter your passcode under the following circumstances:
- When you power on or restart your iPad.
- If your iPad has been unused for more than 48 hours.
- If you haven't used your passcode in the last 6.5 days and haven't unlocked your iPad using Face ID or Touch ID in the last 4 hours.
- When your iPad receives a remote lock command.
- After five unsuccessful attempts to unlock your iPad using Face ID or Touch ID.
These steps ensure that your iPad remains secure while allowing you to easily manage and change your passcode as needed.
